Recycled plastic timber planks (or recycled plastic wood as it is sometimes also, incorrectly, known) is the basic material from which much of the South Africa Recycled Plastic range of environmentally friendly maintenance free furniture and sustainable construction products are made.
Recycled Plastic Timber has the highest level of UV protection against direct sunlight so will stay looking new for longer, and is maintenance free. Plastic Wood will never rot, warp, crack, chip or splinter, and is impervious to moisture, insects and fungus.
100% Recycled Plastic wood Products look like wood but is fully Eco friendly, maintenance free, weather and insect resistant and will last for more than 60 years...
Plastic planks are not as rigid as wood and will require some more bracing and reduced spacing between supports and are generally thicker than wooden planks for the same application.
Due to the usage of recycled plastic in making these planks, the colour will vary from batch to batch depending on the availability of feed stock.

TIP:
To slightly restore the colour to your outdoor furniture, take a soft wire brush to its surface and then use gentle heat from a hair dryer or blow torch and the pigments will become more noticeable on the surface of the plastic. You can also “blend” in any light scratch marks or scrapes using this gentle heating method
